Thrive IT Conference 2026 in Slovenia once again delivered an inspiring mix of deep technical sessions, practical insights, and great community exchange. Held from June 9–10, 2026, with a full-day preconference on June 8, the event brought together IT professionals, architects, and developers to explore the latest in AI, Azure, Microsoft 365, and beyond in beautiful Slovenia.
Martina and I were excited to contribute with several sessions focused on turning AI into real business value - from governance and platform strategy to automation scenarios with AI.
- Martina kicked off the day with “ChatGPT vs. Copilot: Same Same… but Very Different”, clarifying the architectural and operational differences between the two approaches. The session highlighted how governance, identity, and compliance fundamentally shape Microsoft Copilot, and when the flexibility of ChatGPT makes sense.
- Later, in “Govern, manage and secure your AI platform”, Martina provided a structured framework for adopting AI in Azure, with a strong focus on governance, security, and sustainable operations.
- I contributed two sessions focused on practical AI implementations. In “From Inbox to Insights”, I demonstrated how newsletters and unstructured information can be transformed into structured, decision-ready reports using Power Platform, Dataverse, and AI models. The solution shows how organizations can systematically track technology trends and turn information overload into actionable insights.
- In “From Chaos to Clarity”, the focus shifted to document processing and procurement scenarios. By combining Azure AI Foundry models with Power Automate, I showed how to extract, compare, and evaluate supplier offers automatically-reducing manual effort and enabling transparent, data-driven decision-making.
Overall, Thrive IT Conference 2026 once again proved to be a fantastic platform for sharing knowledge, exchanging ideas, and connecting with the community. A big thank you to the organizers and everyone who joined our sessions-we’re already looking forward to the next edition.
