Today is Microsoft Ignite’s last conference day. Microsoft largest IT-conference MSIgnite took place from 4t to 8th of May in Chicagos’s McCormick center, some miles south of downtown. Martina and I attended BUILD conference too, so we have a direct comparison of the two large Microsoft conferences this year. The size was impressive Five conference days are exhausting. Well, actually this Friday is just half a conference day, because it ended after noon and the expo hall was closed down yesterday. But let’s start with the beginning. ...

Time flies! As soon as BUILD conference 2015 started it’s over now. Martina and I arrived a week ago in California and spent some days in Silicon valley (working there…) and north of San Francisco before attending the conference. BUILD, the 5th This was our 4th BUILD. In total there were five BUILD conferences (after Microsoft paused and renamed the PDC and started with Windows 8): The first one was in 2011 in Los Angeles, Anaheim, followed 2012 at the Microsoft Campus in Redmond, we skipped 2013 in San Fran, Moscone Center, and have been at the last BUILD 2014 and now in 2015, also in the same location. Delegate365 version 3.5 is another major release. There are many new features like support for resources/rooms, contacts, sync-updates, support for restoring soft deleted users, management of members of all OU’s, mailbox delegation, user’s MFA when creating users, new restrictions for licenses for admins and some more updates. Let’s start with the description of the last changes. Delegate365 version 3.5 comes with the new dashboard we updated in version 3.4. Users / new user: Now it’s possible to set Multi factor Authentication immediately when creating a new user. Simply set the MFA dropdown and save the new user. Info: With MFA the user creation can take some seconds. In previous versions the user needed to be created first and MFA could only be activated later with editing. ...

Delegate365 version 3.4 (which was pre-announced here) comes with some new features: New dashboard: The start page now shows charts with the admin’s OU’s and how many users within the OU’s are assigned an Office 365 license. Dashboard Performance with large tenants: The new interactive dashboard now shows more overview information. The performance is better too, since it was necessary to move time consuming tasks (like the OU license assignment list) into to the administrator dashboard. The start page of D365 now displays cached information or data that can be read very fast, thus the dashboard performance with large tenants now is much better. ...

We produced new videos showing the ease-of-use of Office 365 user and license management with Delegate365. We at atwork developed a new solution named Delegate365. Delegate365 is a Web-based portal for managing users and licenses in Microsoft Office 365. We are working hard on Delegate365 right now and are currently working on the next version 3.4 which will be released in the next days. We also are producing new short videos showing how to setup and how to work with Delegate365. The new videos will include spoken text (in English) according to the How To´s. We are still in the finishing touches but have a short preview of the new dashboard here… ...

Shortly we launched Delegate365 version 3.3. With that release there came a new and very fast cloud service along which handles all Exchange operations. We upgraded this service yesterday into production. Delegate365 users, have you noticed the NEW SPEED? The new service now uses pooling for all incoming request of one tenant and is very fast since many operations can be executed asynchronously within the connection pool. The result is that all Exchange-tasks are much much faster (about factor 6 to 10) than before. ...
