Eine gute Gelegenheit, das Interview “IT-Expertinnen im Interview – Was Frauen in der Technik heute beschäftigt” mit unserer Geschäftsführerin Martina Grom (atwork.at) und Österreichs Digital Champion Meral Akin-Hecke (werdedigital.at) zu veröffentlichen. Martina and I just returned from the Microsoft Community Open Day event in Munich. The name can be misleading for people outside of Microsoft, because COD is actually a closed event for members of the Microsoft community leaders in the MVP Program and the CLIP Program within a region. Here community leaders and members can inform about news and do a lot of networking. In our case we both belong to the german speaking D-A-CH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). COD usually takes place somewhere in the corresponding region, last year in Berlin, this year in Munich, at the Microsoft Office. [Additionally there´s the yearly Global MVP summit for ALL MVP´s at the Microsoft headquarters in Redmond…] ...

Gestern fand bei Microsoft Österreich die Veranstaltung “So sicher ist die Cloud – Datenschutz und Datensicherheit in der Microsoft Cloud” statt. Hochkarätige Dozenten informierten über Datensicherheit und gesetzliche Rahmenbedingungen in der Cloud. Vortragende waren unter anderem Rechtsanwalt Stephan Winklbauer, Microsoft-Österreich-CTO Harald Leitenmüller, Software-Architect Rainer Stropek und Office 365 Expertin Martina Grom von atwork. Das Auditorium war knallvoll. Nach der Vormittagspause lichteten sich die Reihen ein wenig. Auf jeden Fall ist Datensicherheit in der Cloud für Kunden und Partner ein sehr relevantes Thema. ...

As announced here D365 version 3.2 has support of security groups. This also includes management of “mail enabled security groups”. With D365 version 3.2 there comes full support of security groups with two new modules: security groups for managing these groups and memberships and the new administration / assign security groups module for assigning existing security groups to a particular OU. The security groups list works in the same way as all other lists in D365: new security groups can be created, deleted, members can be added and deleted and the OU assignment of a group can be changed. The search helps for getting access to the desired groups quickly. ...

Delegate365 provides a user self service password reset (SSPR) function since version 2.1. If an user forgot his Office 365 password – and the admins allowed that function – he can self reset his password easily with D365. The SSPR feature comes automatically with Delegate365 at no additional costs. In Office 365 IT Admins can define Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) for their users to secure access for all or special user accounts. The good news is that Delegate365 supports the usage of MFA for the login process by default. MFA works exactly in the same way as usual.
