Delegate365 customers URL change

Delegate365 customers URL change

This method using /setup has been deprecated since 2020 and is no longer available. Use setup.delegate365.com instead. The content in this article is provided for historical reference only. Delegate365 runs completely in the cloud on the Microsoft Azure platform. So every (prospective) customer got a personal D365 tenant with an URL of https://D365[customername].azurewebsites.net. For customers, the Delegate365 portal URL will be changed to https://[customername].delegate365.com shortly. There are two reasons for the usage of the new URL. First, the background management of the D365 portal is easier with a custom URL, for example that each customer portal can be scaled and moved without URL change. Secondly, the custom delegate365.com domain is nicer and easier to remember than the default azurewebsites.net URL. It’s more convenient in both ways. ...

Unicorns, startups and why Europe economically might fall behind

Today I read a great article in capital.de by author Horst von Buttlar. I could find much truth in the statements of Joe Schoendorf and why Europe economically might fall behind other countries (“There are very few unicorns in Germany”). Read it here: Interview with Joe Schoendorf: “It’s not the end of the world” And don’t forget: “You always have to look at the big picture”.

How the UserProfile in Azure Active Directory and how a Mailbox in Exchange Online looks like

How the UserProfile in Azure Active Directory and how a Mailbox in Exchange Online looks like

When using a federated scenario where on prem users are synchronized to the cloud with Dirsync or AAD Connect, it’s important to know which user properties are transported into the Azure Active Directory (AAD). In the Microsoft Sync Tool you can define which fields shall be federated. In the cloud world, we can use the user properties in AAD in different ways: Accessing them with PowerShell, GraphAPI or with Exchange Remote PowerShell, depending on the scenario and the data you need. ...

Runnung into Azure Service Limits?

Runnung into Azure Service Limits?

From time to time we stumble about resource quotas in Microsoft Azure. So this is a good opportunity to remember the article “Azure Subscription and Service Limits, Quotas, and Constraints” which describes the limits used by default in Azure services. So when creating a new SQL Server in an Azure subscription I ran into the message “Server response = 40652 Cannot move or create server. Subscription ‘xxxx’ will exceed server quota.”. Honestly, first I did not check the error message, then I saw that the server quota would have been exceed. So the solution was to delete unused SQL servers in that subscription to free resources and then to create the new SQL server resource in the Azure Portal. ...

The money, Internet Giants earn each second

The money, Internet Giants earn each second

An interesting visualization shows, how much money is made in the internet industry … per second! See Battle of the Internet Giants for a live view. I don’t know if this represents real numbers (well, this is a “Real-Time Accumulation of Wealth”), but the live visualization is made pretty well and is impressive! Especially the fact that Apple profits about 50% of all shown income – with companies as Google, Amazon, Microsoft, facebook, YouTube etc. – I did not know. My snapshot was made after 60 seconds. So in one minute Apple makes a profit of about $ 70K, Microsoft 41K, Google 24K, Skype about 4K, and facebook “only” about 3K while Twitter is loosing money each second. ...
