Last week European SharePoint Conference 2014 took place in Barcelona. Time to recap mentions of the SharePoint event on Twitter (hashtag #ESPC14). Here are the results by 11th May, 21:30 made with Twitter Analytics for Excel (which @magrom also showed in her session PowerBI and SharePoint Online). In this week there were more than 4.300 tweets sent, about 40% (1.700) of them were retweets. The top tweet-days were Wednesday followed by Tuesday and Thursday with average 1.200 tweets daily in these three days. (Click on the graphics to increase them.) ...

European SharePoint Conference took place in Barcleona this year. After last year in February in Copenhagen now it´s time for sunny Catalonia in May for Sun, Sea, Sand and SharePoint! Many attendees used this opportunitiy for combining business with some holidays in these attractive location (see some tips here: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, … after the top x lists there are so many things to see and to enjoy…). Last weekend SharePoint Saturday Belgium #SPSBE took place in a suburb of Brussels, see https://www.spsevents.org/city/Brussels/Brussels2014/home. It was the 4th SPS in Belgium and the SharePoint community met for exchanging knowledge … and having a fun and a great event. We from atwork (@magrom and @atwork) were happy to be part of SPSBE and had a great weekend in Brussels (which was in fact our first time in Belgium which was awesome). About 250 participants followed the invitation to the community event which occured in St-Lendriksborre at the location of Xylos, one of the main sponsors for SPSBE. ...

We from atwork (@magrom and @atwork) had a busy time in the last three weeks. We attended some events in Europe and America and were traveling a little bit… With so many interesting events we created some Twitter reports with Twitter Analytics for Excel 2013, see the main reports here. #COD14 At the end of march, from 21 to 22th, we have been in Berlin at Community Open Day 14 #cod14. COD is a Microsoft internal event organized by Microsoft Germany for community leaders (members of the CLIP and MVP program) and took place at the new Microsoft Office in Berlin, at a very noble address Unter den Linden with more than 100 participants. So rasch vergehen ein paar Tage USA, schon ist die BUILD Conference 2014 in San Francisco wieder vorbei. In den drei Tagen hat Microsoft eine Fülle von Neuigkeiten rund um Windows 8.1 Update, Windows Phone 8.1 und Office veröffentlicht. Die Company zeigt, dass sie es mit ihrer Strategie um Transparenz und Vereinfachung ernst meint, genauso wie auch die drei Grundprinzipien: Cloud first, Mobile first und Touch first. Für Developer ist diese Richtung mittlerweile wohl klar. Developer Konferenzen mag ich besonders gerne, hier herrscht ein empfänglicher “Spirit” für News, neue Technologien und hands-on-experience. ...

From 7th to 10th of April the WinDays Conference 2014 takes place in Umag, Croatia. WinDays started 13 years ago and as of today the conference is the largest regional technology conference about business and technology with more than 1.500 participants. Heute hat die BUILD Windows Conference begonnen. Die Keynote (Nummer 1, morgen gibts die zweite mit ScottGu) stand ganz im Zeichen von Windows Phone 8.1 und Windows 8.1 Update – sowie “Development for One Windows”. Doch schön der Reihe nach… Im (derzeit kalten) San Francisco hat heute die mittlerweile vierte BUILD Konferenz im Moscone Center begonnen, nun zum zweiten Mal in “SanFran” (nach L.A. 2011 und am MSFT Campus in Redmond 2012). Mit etwa 5000 Teilnehmern ist die Build eine richtig große Konferenz. So war auch der Andrang stark und die Teilnehmerströme (gewohnt organisiert mit “go this way please”-Anleitung der vielen Helfer) wurden zur Keynote geleitet (…einmal um die Halle rundherum, damit man nachher geordnet in der Schlange vor der Rolltreppe steht…ohne Worte). Anyway, gerade noch einen Platz in der knallvollen Keynote gefunden. ...
