In mid-May we had the pleasure of attending our first in-person techorama.be conference in beautiful Antwerp. Techorama mainly focuses on developer technologies, architecture, but also on Modern Workplace and Data and Power Platform. This year the conference had the theme “Jungle Edition”. The entire conference and details were jungle themed, including team outfit, exhibitors and even a waterfall. What a great (jungle) experience! Techorama boasts an impressive lineup of renowned speakers and experts from various domains, attracting attendees with broad offerings. The hallmark of any great conference lies in its ability to deliver engaging and enlightening content, and Techorama certainly excelled in this aspect with about 2000 participants. Attendees could immerse themselves in the latest advancements in artificial intelligence, developing technologies, cloud computing, data analytics, DevOps, and much more. Last Friday, the cloudusergroup organized the Virtual Community Event #ADCD2022, the Austrian Developer Community Day 2022. We had 25+ interesting sessions with great speakers and a great virtual day of the event. Here are some impressions of it. There hasn’t been a local community event for cloud developers for a long time. So we decided to hold such an event. Martina Grom and I, Toni Pohl, started to organize the event end of 2021. Due to the current Covid situation, it was clear that the event could unfortunately only take place virtually. It’s a wrap! The European Collab Summit and Cloud Summit (www.collabsummit.eu) are sister conferences and are the major community-driven technology conferences focusing on digital transformation, the Cloud, and modern workplace. This year, after being remote for almost two years, the atwork-team attended the conference as speakers and attendees (of course in compliance with the COVID-19 safety concept), and we had a blast! The conference took place from 11/29 – 12/2 at Messe Düsseldorf, Germany, with excellent experts who informed about topics, such as Microsoft 365, Azure, Artificial Intelligence, SharePoint, Microsoft Viva, Teams, Yammer, and Business Apps & Power Platform. A lot has changed in our (remote) workplaces and especially in the past year. But the importance of inclusion and diversity hasn’t gone anywhere. And neither has the joy and power of recognizing the total value of everyone on your team. At atwork, diversity and inclusion are in our daily life. Everyone should be treated equally and with respect. These are the foundations of our modern society. We want to show our sympathy by adapting our atwork logo on the website, on our blog and on our LinkedIn page to the rainbow colors. We support Pride and the LGBTIQ community with the motto “Join us. March with us.
