On Saturday, the 28th of May 2016, our second SharePoint Saturday Paris took place. Again, the organization team Patrick and Gokan arranged a perfect community event in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. We enjoyed Paris in May (before river Seine flooded the shores one week later), we even had a great speaker dinner on a boat on the Seine. We also had the pleasure to meet with “Mr. SharePoint”, Jeff Teper, Microsoft Corporate Vice-President OneDrive and SharePoint who delivered a keynote and spent time with the SharePoint community. Yeah, they did it again! The team around Branka Obuljen Štritof, Adis Jugo, Toni Frankola and Nenad Trajkovski organized the fourth SPC Adriatics Conference coming next week, from May 31st to June 1st 2016. The event will be held in Zagreb, Croatia, again. What’s so special about this conference? Well, read it here! Mit Project Madeira als Codename wird Microsoft eine ganz neue ERP-Lösung (Enterprise Resource Planning) für kleine und mittelständische Unternehmen anbieten, abseits von Dynamics NAV und Dynamics AX (ehemals Axapta). Derzeit handelt es sich bei Project Madeira um eine Public Preview, die nur in den USA verfügbar ist, die jedoch auch bald in unseren Sprachraum kommen soll. Project Madeira stellt laut der Ankündigung auf Project “Madeira” Public Preview Now Available eine komplett neue Geschäftslösung dar: “…a completely reinvented business management solution for small and midsize businesses (SMBs).”, schreibt Marko Perisic, General Manager von Project Madeira. Zielgruppe sind also die klassischen KMUs. Die Kernbotschaften in Project Maderia sind “Einfach zu bedienen wie Office”, “Mobile First” und “Cloud First” (siehe hier). ...

Derzeit läuft Build 2016 Tag zwei. Auch die Keynote Tag 2 brachte viele News für Developer. Hier folgt meine rasche Zusammenfassung der wichtigsten Ankündigungen. Die wichtigsten Neuerungen von Tag 1 findet ihr hier. ScottGu eröffnete die Keynote (dieses Mal wieder im gewohnten Red T-Shirt) und führte souverän durch die Themen. Die Keynote Tag Zwei war geprägt von Visual Studio, Azure und Office. Hier zu den Details: Microsoft investiert Milliarden Dollar in den Ausbau seiner Datacenter, wird bald 30 Datacenters weltweit haben, und feiert den Erfolg von Azure. Es wurde eine Grafik “Azure Momentum” mit einigen interessanten Kennzahlen veröffentlicht. ...

Heute ist Tag Eins der Microsoft BUILD Conference in San Francisco. Die Konferenz wurde auf Channel9 gestreamed und die Breakout Sessions werden ebenso in Kürze on Demand bereit stehen, die Keynote und einige Sessions sind bereits online. Es gab eine Fülle von Informationen und Neuerungen. Hier einige Highlights ganz rasch zusammengefasst: Windows 10 läuft mittlerweile auf 270 Millionen Devices Microsoft wird im (späten) Sommer ein OS-Update mit Namen “Windows 10 Anniversary Update” herausgeben. Darin werden 1000 neue Features enthalten sein und das Upgrade wird for free sein. ...
