Shortly we launched Delegate365 version 3.6. There were some changes and more features added. In the administration menu the modules for assigning and unassigning have been combined, Administrators now can set their default values for creating users and the support address is now configurable. Administration: Assign: The assign module is used to set the OU for users, groups, contacts, etc. Since we had many single modules for assigning objects to an OU… …we decided to unite them into one new module “assign” which reduces the modules list in the administration menu (see also here). Now there’s the selectable region and the assign-actions below. You can open the corresponding group to select the objects and then choose the OU for the assignment. As before each object in D365 belongs to one OU (see also virtual OU’s for multiple management here - Important security change in group membership selections:). With the new module it’s easy to select (unassigned) users, distribution groups, security groups, contacts, shared mailboxes and rooms to assign them to a specific OU. Once that is done the items show up in the corresponding lists for the scope admins to manage. ...

Delegate365 version 3.5 is another major release. There are many new features like support for resources/rooms, contacts, sync-updates, support for restoring soft deleted users, management of members of all OU’s, mailbox delegation, user’s MFA when creating users, new restrictions for licenses for admins and some more updates. Let’s start with the description of the last changes. Delegate365 version 3.5 comes with the new dashboard we updated in version 3.4. Users / new user: Now it’s possible to set Multi factor Authentication immediately when creating a new user. Simply set the MFA dropdown and save the new user. Info: With MFA the user creation can take some seconds. In previous versions the user needed to be created first and MFA could only be activated later with editing. ...

Delegate365 version 3.4 (which was pre-announced here) comes with some new features: New dashboard: The start page now shows charts with the admin’s OU’s and how many users within the OU’s are assigned an Office 365 license. Dashboard Performance with large tenants: The new interactive dashboard now shows more overview information. The performance is better too, since it was necessary to move time consuming tasks (like the OU license assignment list) into to the administrator dashboard. The start page of D365 now displays cached information or data that can be read very fast, thus the dashboard performance with large tenants now is much better. ...

We produced new videos showing the ease-of-use of Office 365 user and license management with Delegate365. We at atwork developed a new solution named Delegate365. Delegate365 is a Web-based portal for managing users and licenses in Microsoft Office 365. We are working hard on Delegate365 right now and are currently working on the next version 3.4 which will be released in the next days. We also are producing new short videos showing how to setup and how to work with Delegate365. The new videos will include spoken text (in English) according to the How To´s. We are still in the finishing touches but have a short preview of the new dashboard here… ...

Shortly we launched Delegate365 version 3.3. With that release there came a new and very fast cloud service along which handles all Exchange operations. We upgraded this service yesterday into production. Delegate365 users, have you noticed the NEW SPEED? The new service now uses pooling for all incoming request of one tenant and is very fast since many operations can be executed asynchronously within the connection pool. The result is that all Exchange-tasks are much much faster (about factor 6 to 10) than before. ...

As announced in our version 3.3 article we added another feature in the new module “assign licenses”. Now this list also shows all already assigned plans for each user. There´s a new column “AssignedPlans” showing the plans of the displayed users. So this list can be used for setting and also for reporting multiple user licenses of OU´s. For doing that we had to implement an additional caching layer which is now filled by the automatic sync process. ...

The current version of Delegate365 is version 3.3. In that version we have some new features available as well as some minor bugfixes. Let´s start with these: Bugfixes Sync licenses: It seems that there was a change in delivering the licenses information of users by Microsoft. If the Office 365 licenses of an user were changed, the license and the active plans stay unchanged. In D365 the synchronization could not update the license data correctly because it relied on that data. We found that now only the disabled plans information delivered by the interface is correct. The sync and getting and setting the licenses function has been updated to use the disabled plans data. So this version fixes all license information updates. Since the Sync functions automatically runs periodically (usually all 4 hours), there´s no need to do anything manually. Anyway, admins can click the Sync button anytime to ensure that all data in the D365 tenant are updated. ...
