Microsoft beginnt nun ebenso diese populäre Plattform zu nutzen und stellt viele Open Source Projekte auf GitHub bereit, wie etwa das .NET Core Framework. Für Studenten gibt es nun ein ganz aktuelles Angebot von Microsoft, welches eine Vielzahl an tollen Tools und Services von GitHub zur kostenfreien Verfügung stellt, das GitHub Student Developer Pack und Visual Studio Community 2013. In large organizations it´s often useful to create an own Exchange administrator for performing tasks against the Exchange API´s, f.e. with PowerShell or with third party tools like our Delegate365 solution. Here´s how to create an Exchange Admin in Office 365. There are two ways to accomplish this task: The easy way is to simply create (or use) a gobal administrator in Office 365. This user gets all rights in all services of Office 365 (AAD, Exchange, SharePoint, Lync) automatically. The second way – if your want to have an own Exchange administrator - is described here. Von 9. bis 10. Januar fand die Office 365 Konferenz (office365konferenz.net) in Köln statt. Die Veranstaltung war mit etwa 120 Teilnehmern ausgebucht. Die Konferenz An diesem Event waren einige Punkte besonders erwähnenswert: Die Office 365 Konferenz war die erste größere deutschsprachige Veranstaltung ganz zum Thema Microsoft Office 365. Veranstalter waren Mitglieder der Microsoft MVP Community, die das Event organisierten. Es gab hochkarätige Sprecher. Mit 16 MVPs, Spezialisten von Microsoft und Partnern aus der Praxis gab es qualitativ hochwertige und technische Vorträge mit einem guten Themen-Mix mit 25 Sessions. ...

Unsere Office 365 Konferenz (office365konferenz.net) in Köln ist schon wieder vorbei. Hier einige Zahlen aus Twitter von der letzten Woche. Filter und Zeitraum Die folgenden Auswertungen wurden für den offiziellen Konferenz-Hashtag #office365konf erstellt. Andere Tweets sind hier nicht berücksichtigt – auch wenn wir doch viele weitere Twitter-Nachrichten (eben ohne Konferenz-Hashtag) gesehen haben. Die Daten zeigen den Zeitraum vom So., 4. bis zum So., 11.01.2015 etwa 16:00. Since Microsoft´s Azure Active Directory (AAD) is constantly evolving it´s interesting to see the current status of features. Right now we want to point out the functionality of Azure Active Directory Editions in MSDN by December 10, 2014. AAD comes in three flavors: Free, Basic and Premium (see also here). As announced in April we created a Whitepaper for our product Delegate 365. Delegate 365 adds functionality on top of Microsoft Office 365 and works as an Add-On which delivers delegation features for entitled admins (and much more) in medium to large organizations using Office 365. Im vorigen Artikel haben wir uns angesehen, wie der User MFA erlebt und wie man MFA unter Office 365 nutzen kann. In diesem Blogpost geht es darum, wie man MFA auch OnPremises einsetzen kann. Azure MFA ist und bleibt ein Cloud Service. Manchmal hat man aber die Anforderung ein lokales Service, das lokal bleiben muss, auch sicherer zu machen. Ein simples Beispiel sind Virtual Private Networks (VPN) oder Remote Desktop Services (RDS). Das Beispiel mit RDS ist jetzt etwas entschärft, weil es seit kurzem auch RDS in Azure gibt.
