Last week, we welcomed around 50 AI enthusiasts at Microsoft Österreich for AI Community Day Vienna for an afternoon of exploring the latest Microsoft AI innovations, real-world use cases, networking, and inspiring discussions. The Global AI Community is a worldwide network of AI enthusiasts, professionals, and organizations dedicated to sharing knowledge, learning, and building innovative solutions. Through local chapters and global events, it connects people passionate about artificial intelligence, offering opportunities for collaboration, education, and growth. On March 18, 2025, we had the pleasure to organize and enjoy the Global AI Bootcamp Vienna. About 70 tech-savvy individuals gathered to dive into the world of artificial intelligence with Microsoft Azure AI Services, in two tracks, at the Microsoft Austria office. Martina and I were thrilled to organize the Global AI Bootcamp in Vienna for the first time and to attract so many attendees and great speakers even at such short notice. The enthusiasm and participation we witnessed were truly inspiring and we enjoyed networking. We see this event as the beginning of a new chapter for our group, with great potential for growth in Austria, and we hope to continue this series with even more interested people in the future (as we experienced with our cloudusergroup more than a decade ago). ...

Back in 2022, I began celebrating Women’s History Month, which takes place every March, by highlighting women in technology who inspired me. March 8th is celebrated worldwide as International Women’s Day. At the end of March 2022, it became clear that I wanted to continue the series because we are many. Every woman makes an impact in the industry, and I want all of them to shine. Each of these women has made significant contributions to the tech industry, breaking barriers and paving the way for future generations. ...

We enjoyed being part of this year´s TechCon 365 conference in Dallas, Texas. From November 3-7, 2024, the conference center in Dallas Irving became the center of Microsoft 365 and Power Platform Know How as more than 500 tech enthusiasts gathered for the TechCon 365 event. This year’s conference was a melting pot of knowledge, and networking opportunities, featuring over 130 sessions and 25 workshops led by top experts in Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Azure, AI, and more. ...

March 8th is celebrated worldwide as Women’s day. There is more of that: March is Women’s History Month. Working as a women in technology is not as exotical as it was 25 years ago, still, there is room for improvement to engage women to look into jobs in technology and also to engage them to bond with other women in technology and join allies with like minded people in the industry. In 2022 I started with the idea to celebrate women’s history month with highlighting a women in Tech every day and write why she is a role model for me and what she does. But why only 2022? Last Friday, the cloudusergroup organized the Virtual Community Event #ADCD2022, the Austrian Developer Community Day 2022. We had 25+ interesting sessions with great speakers and a great virtual day of the event. Here are some impressions of it. There hasn’t been a local community event for cloud developers for a long time. So we decided to hold such an event. Martina Grom and I, Toni Pohl, started to organize the event end of 2021. Due to the current Covid situation, it was clear that the event could unfortunately only take place virtually. Thankfully we got great support from Rainer Stropek, Martin Ullrich, Christian Glessner and Zaid Zaim. and we found some sponsors for advertising and for financing the community platform Hopin we wanted to use for the first time: Thanks to Microsoft Austria, atwork, Software Architects, hololux, tietoevry and to Coding Club Linz for your support! ...
