This week, from May 21st to 23rd, SharePoint Conference North America 2018 - now the Microsoft 365 Community Conference took place in fabulous Las Vegas, in the MGM Grand Hotel. Martina and I were glad to be part of the conference and enjoyed the conference, the networking and cool announcements and sessions! See some visual impressions of #SPC18 here! Martina and I had a workshop about “Office 365 governance” on the pre-conference days on Saturday, May 19th, and Martina delivered the session “The Keys to Office 365 Groups Management” together with Microsoft’s Christophe Fiessinger on Tuesday. On April 21st, this year’s Global Azure Bootcamp took place in 244 locations in 68 countries. We were happy to follow the invitation of coding-club-linz who – as in the last years - organized the community event perfectly in Linz in Austria. With 5 tracks and about 200 attendees the #GlobalAzure event in Linz was a full success – thx to the organizers, speakers, community members and all helping hands! The world wide community event (global.azurebootcamp.net) is a cost free, one-day technical learning events for Microsoft Azure, organized by leaders from the global cloud developer community, see also #GlobalAzure Bootcamp 2018 and Sunday Surprise: Global Azure Bootcamp 2018. We were part of GAB in 2017 as well, see Global Azure Bootcamp 2017 Austria. This year, from our Vienna Azure Meetup Group, Martina Grom, Christoph Wilfing, Christoph Wille and I, Toni Pohl, joined the GAB2018 event. ...

In the Easter week, we joined the Microsoft Tech Summit Amsterdam. The event took place at RAI Amsterdam from March 28-29, 2018. See some impressions here. Beside the breakout sessions, Tech Summit provided experts panels, workshops, and booths to directly get in contact with the Microsoft teams and third party vendors and to ask questions. After we returned from MVP Summit, we were proud to be part of Microsoft Tech Summit from March 14th to 15th in Paris. In the mid of March, Microsoft’s MVP Summit took place at Microsoft’s headquarter in Redmond and in Bellevue in Washington. For us, this was a great week for getting the latest news about Microsoft products and technologies and for networking and meeting friends. MVP summit is an exclusive event for all active MVPs and Regional Directors (RDs). Microsoft trusts their community-leaders and the content is strictly confidential. We used the week for learning, building relationships and giving feedback which is simply great to directly interact with the product groups. ...

Microsoft Graph is the unified endpoint to programmatically access resources and services in Office 365 and Azure Active Directory. To inform the developer community with the latest news, the Microsoft Graph team organizes a monthly Microsoft Graph API community call. We, Toni and I, were happy to contribute a use case at the last call showing a scenario of an Office 365 Group orchestration workflow with PowerApps, SharePoint Lists, Azure Functions and Microsoft Graph. ...

This weekend, on the January 20th, the first SPS North Germany/Bremen took place with great sessions in a very cool location. See some snapshots here. For #SPSBRE, we had a very cool location in the Bremen Harbor at Schuppen Eins (“shed one”). When entering the former harbor storehouse building that was built in 1959, the automobile Oldtimer Boulevard hits you with more than 60 unique cars, embedded in a modernized glass structure with a cafe, shops and a garage specialized in repairing old-timers.
