Since the Office 365 products do have a history, there are different places where user profile data is stored and how specific properties are synchronized. So, we at atwork thought that it makes sense to inform about the current user profile status in Office 365 with this article. AAD Basics The basis of all Office 365 services is the central Azure Active Directory (AAD) that stores all users, groups, licenses and relations of an Office 365 tenant (*.onmicrosoft.com). Entities can be managed in the Office-Portal, with scripts (PowerShell, etc.) or custom code (accessing the Microsoft API’s), or in a hybrid scenario with AAD Connect or ADFS. Once a user is created in AAD, there are a bunch of user properties available, as the User Principal Name (UPN, which is the login name), the person’s name and address data, Office 365 licenses, and more. Nun sollen die aktuellen Policies von Skype for Business Online per PowerShell zusammengefasst und als Script weiterverwendet werden. Als Ergebnis erhalten wir ein Textfile, welches mit Excel zur weiteren Verwendung aufbereitet wird. Einen Überblick erhalten Nachdem ich keinen Überblick über die vielen (229) SFB Online Policies gefunden habe, war es naheliegend, selbst eine solche Liste mit den Werten der existierenden Policies zu erstellen. Somit entstand aus den Cmdlets aus Teil 1 das folgende PowerShell Script. Dieses hat den großen Vorteil dass es einerseits jederzeit erneut aufgerufen werden kann und dann den aktuellen Stand der Policies liefert und andererseits leicht (etwa mit Excel) nachbearbeitet werden kann um die Ergebnisse visuell gut aufzubereiten. ...

Skype for Business Online ist ein wichtiges Service von Office 365 mit dem professionelle Teamarbeit und Online Besprechungen sowie Web-und Videokonferenzen möglich sind. Im Unternehmensumfeld müssen die Berechtigungen und Features gut geplant werden, sehr oft werden dort andere Anforderungen an eine Implementierung gesetzt, als in der Standardkonfiguration vorgesehen sind. In May Martina, I and our MVP colleague Sigi Jagott have been to Redmond and recorded some courses about Office 365 for Microsoft Virtual Academy.
