On Saturday, the 28th of May 2016, our second SharePoint Saturday Paris took place. Again, the organization team Patrick and Gokan arranged a perfect community event in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. We enjoyed Paris in May (before river Seine flooded the shores one week later), we even had a great speaker dinner on a boat on the Seine. We also had the pleasure to meet with “Mr. SharePoint”, Jeff Teper, Microsoft Corporate Vice-President OneDrive and SharePoint who delivered a keynote and spent time with the SharePoint community. Auch dieses Jahr veranstaltet Microsoft wieder ein cooles Event im Juni, nämlich eine Veranstaltung mit dem Titel “Das neueste zu Windows 10 und anderen coolen Dingen - Zusammenfassung von der //build für …”! Die Zielgruppen sind IT-Spezialisten, Developer und Open Source Enthusiasten. Event-Details Zugegeben, der lange Veranstaltungstitel ist nicht so knackig wie “BUILD”, aber die Inhalte sind sehr spannend und vielfältig, siehe unten! Ich nenne das Event der Einfachheit halber mal “Zusammenfassung von der //build” – auch wenn hier viele aktuelle Technologien, Produkte und Services gezeigt werden. Yeah, they did it again! App-Developer aufgepasst, die neue Version der Active Directory Authentication Library (ADAL) .NET v3 ist verfügbar (GA). ADAL ist eine Portable Class Library, welche – nomen est omen – (Windows und Azure) Active Directory Authentifizierung von eigenen Apps für verschiedene Plattformen wie Windows ermöglicht und stark vereinfacht. Dank der neuen Xamarin Integration können Apps nun auf iOS, Android und Windows mit ADAL authentifizieren. ADAL v3 kann somit Authentifizierungen über alle Plattformen anbieten. ...

Bislang war Support für Azure auch für Unternehmenskunden kostenpflichtig und musste bei Bedarf extra erworben werden. Nun gibt es ein ganz neues Angebot von Microsoft: Azure-Kunden mit einem Enterprise-Agreement (EA) habens besser. Seit 1. Mai bietet Microsoft ein kostenloses 12-Monate Support Upgrade für alle Azure Kunden an, die ein Enterprise-Agreement (EA) mit Microsoft abgeschlossen haben. Für alle, die nicht wissen, was ein “EA” bei Microsoft ist: Ein EA erhält man nicht über ein Online-Formular, sondern nur über einen Microsoft Betreuer. Das EA stellt üblicherweise einen Vertrag mit einem gewissen ausgehandelten Kontingent und Umsatz dar. Der Kunde verpflichtet sich darin, einen bestimmten Umsatz zu machen und erhält dafür günstigere Preise und eben Support-Leistungen. ...
