It has been a noisy week in Social Media with #MSIgnite. Such a large conference as Microsoft Ignite (see here) produces a lot of traffic in Social Media. We made some Twitter reports to deliver some impressions about MSIgnite. The following statistics was created by searching for hashtag #MSIgnite. Today is Microsoft Ignite’s last conference day. Microsoft largest IT-conference MSIgnite took place from 4t to 8th of May in Chicagos’s McCormick center, some miles south of downtown. Martina and I attended BUILD conference too, so we have a direct comparison of the two large Microsoft conferences this year. The size was impressive Five conference days are exhausting. Well, actually this Friday is just half a conference day, because it ended after noon and the expo hall was closed down yesterday. But let’s start with the beginning. ...

Time flies! As soon as BUILD conference 2015 started it’s over now. Martina and I arrived a week ago in California and spent some days in Silicon valley (working there…) and north of San Francisco before attending the conference. BUILD, the 5th This was our 4th BUILD. In total there were five BUILD conferences (after Microsoft paused and renamed the PDC and started with Windows 8): The first one was in 2011 in Los Angeles, Anaheim, followed 2012 at the Microsoft Campus in Redmond, we skipped 2013 in San Fran, Moscone Center, and have been at the last BUILD 2014 and now in 2015, also in the same location. Wer bereits Windows 10 Technical Preview installiert hat, kann seit heute die neueste Version Build 10061 herunterladen und installieren. Diese Meldung wurde vor kurzem in Blogging Windows veröffentlicht: Windows 10 Technical Preview Build 10061 now available. Hierzu muss in den Settings der Windows Update-Mechanismus auf “Fast ring” eingestellt sein. Nach dem Download kann dann Version “fbl_impressive Enterprise (oder Professional) 10061” installiert werden. Das Ganze dauert natürlich ein wenig. ...

Microsoft´s Terry Myerson hat gestern auf dem Windows Hardware Engineering Community (WinHEC) summit angekündigt, dass Windows 10 diesen Sommer verfügbar sein wird. Windows 10 Launching This Summer in 190 Countries and 111 Languages. Es wurde kein genaues Datum genannt, Windows 10 wird also im Lauf des Sommers bereitstehen. Ab Verfügbarkeit wird Microsoft Windows 10 für ein Jahr lang als kostenfreies Upgrade von existierenden Windows 7 und Windows 8 Versionen anbieten. ...

Auf .NET Developer kommt viel Neues zu. Der Tools-Hersteller Telerik bietet ein kostenfreies eBook an, welches über die wichtigsten Neuerungen in .Net informiert. Das ansprechende eBook wurde von Michael Crump und Sam Basu geschrieben und ist 49 Seiten stark. Bald ist es wieder soweit: Die BUILD Conference 2015 findet dieses Jahr wieder in San Francisco statt und zwar von 29. April bis 1. Mai 2015. BUILD ist die Konferenz für Software-Developer. Die Location ist dieselbe wie die beiden Jahre zuvor, im Moscone Center. Die Registrierung für BUILD eröffnet diesen Donnerstag, am 22. Jänner, um 18:00 Uhr (unsere Zeitzone)!
